With a selected designer piece, the Scandinavian watch brand supports projects for the protection of the endangered species: A limited edition of the BERING Charity watch will be available in stores from September 2016. For each watch sold, the brand donates 15 US dollars to the organization Polar Bears International. In 2016, Polar Bears International focuses among other things on young bear families: Research projects in Alaska and Norway help to better protect the mothers and their offspring.
The BERING Charity watch contributes to this. The eye-catcher of the model is a real diamond. High-tech ceramic, stainless steel and sapphire glass make the Charity watch very durable, and emphasize its sophisticated appearance.

ABOUT BERING:
When Danish adventurer and businessman René Kaerskov jumped out of a helicopter into the ice cold of the Arctic, directly over the North Pole in 2008, he had no idea that he was parachuting into a new era.
Because at that moment in time, landing safely at the most northerly point of the globe, his heart was conquered by the cool, simple beauty and infinite white expanse of the eternal ice. Overwhelmed by these fascinating impressions, he also captivated his friends and business partners Michael Witt Johansen und Lars Gram-Skjønnemann with his descriptions of the exquisite splendor of the Arctic landscape. Inspired by these beautiful images the two Danes started to develop the vision of a new watch brand – a watch brand which would be as pure, clear and breathtakingly beautiful as the Arctic itself.
The idea for BERING was born.
Exactly 280 years ago, the Danish sailor Vitus Bering braced himself for a daring adventure: in 1728 he set sail for an almost unknown area of the Arctic Ocean. On his journey he crossed the straits which would later be named the Bering Strait in his honor. Vitus Bering was the first European to discover Alaska and it is here that one of the four time zones bears his famous name: Bering-Time!
Treading new ground, venturing into unknown territory: the Danes Vitus Bering and Rene Kaerskov linked these ideas with the BERING brand. This is the only way in which a vision can become reality. And so the brand BERING is successfully made up of the perfect combination of extraordinarily hard materials and an extremely flat design.
Timelessly beautiful and long-lasting, like the eternal ice, BERING blends minimalistic Danish design and optimal material strength in a unique way. Inspired by the beauty of the arctic, the BERING collection is characterized by clear, streamlined forms and pure elegance.
BERING watches are made of premium quality materials such as surgical steel (316L) and high-tech ceramic that ensures long durability and unite perfectly with the slim Danish design. High-Tech-ceramic is a material with unique properties. As well as being highly scratch resistant, High-Tech-Ceramic is very light, heat resistant and also hypoallergenic. The super smooth surface gives the material a unique smooth touch and ensures distinctly comfortable wear. It requires a highly demanding and time consuming manufacturing process, which makes High-Tech-Ceramic so valuable. All BERING watches use sapphire glass, which is especially robust, crystal clear and scratch resistant.
MULTI-PURPOSE PACKAGING:
Each Bering watch is held in place by a white pillow, placed into a white pull string sack. The sack is then placed into a frosted glass container with a plastic cover. The glass container is then packed into a white gift box.
The frosted glass container can also be used as a tea light candleholder with the plastic lid as the base for it to sit on, allowing the candle’s flame to have a rich glow. The glass container could also be used as a decorative vase or candy dish.
