Bulova 1950s 10K Gold Filled Wrist Alarm Watch

MOVEMENT MADE IN GERMANY

This Wrist Alarm has a 10K gold filled case with large sculpted lugs. The three crowns are used for setting the wristwatch and the alarm. The center crown is for winding and setting the wristwatch, the upper crown is for setting the alarm and the lower crown (button) engages the alarm mechanism by pushing it in, turn alarm off by pulling it out. The dial has a light gold color and small dots every five minutes and batons for quarter. The hands and second hands are in good condition. There is a second hand and red tipped alarm setting hand. The watch comes with a brown leather band. Very collectible watch. It is a German movement with caliber 12B (Junghans 689.70 / J89) especially made by Junghans for Bulova. Bulova watch Co. 17 jewels. 

THE MOVEMENT:

Ran while I tested and Alarm Works as it should. It did stop once and started again after I gently shook. Then continued to run 24 hrs. Has sat in my collection for 6 years. The movement definitely needs to be cleaned and oiled.
