ADORABLE 1949 Bulova 21J Ladies EXCELLENCY Fancy Tear Drop Lugs 10K YGF RUNS !!

This auction is for the pictured 1949 model year (A9 date code) Bulova brand ladies EXCELLENCY model- this means it’s a top of the line offering with a 21 Jewel movement and 10K Yellow gold filled case.  This watch does wind and set the time smoothly and has run and kept time “RIGHT ON” over my 24+ hour timekeeping test of the watch sitting here running on my desk.  Take a L@@K at the case on this watch- though it’s a bit dirty and hasn’t been cleaned up or polished for the photos, it still looks AWESOME and shows VERY little wear.  A basic cosmetic detailing and careful polishing will REALLY get this gold finish to POP once again.  For right now the case (16.75mm wide not including the BULOVA signed crown by 25.5mm lug to lug) rates VERY GOOD PLUS and by the time you clean it up and brighten it up- it may be worthy of an “excellent” cosmetic rating.  The DIAL on this one is ORIGINAL and EXCELLENT PLUS or better condition- about as clean as it gets for a nearly 70 year old painted metal dial!  For now the watch comes on a nicely matched (yellow gold plated or filled) J.B. Champion EARLY expansion style bracelet that features some sort of gemstones (rhinestones) in the bracelet, some of which are missing.  The bracelet is NOT heavily worn and all of the expandable links are nice and tight- it just has the issue of the missing stones- your watchmaker likely has a gemstone assortment that would include rhinestones to fill in the missing ones.  I have priced this watch to $ELL with a ROCK BOTTOM low opening bid and there is NO RESERVE!!!
